For Sale: 2 Special Horses Looking for Special Loving Homes:
SPIKE ~ Registered Name: Franc Couers Lite. Sire: Franc Coeur (Schickendan stand's this stallion). Dam: Cinas Perectbambi. Foaled: May 1, 1996. 100% sound and healthy. Up to date on all shots and is kept on everyday wormer except winter months. No vices. 15.2hh. Owned by us since he was a yearling. We originally bought him to be a hunter (he's appendix) but he ended up small, not very pretty and not a very good mover. I had an interest in reining and played with him. He's been absolutely wonderful. He puts up with anything. He's always quiet and willing. He will walk, trot, canter, leg yield etc. bridleless. He would be suitable for club shows. He wasn't broke until he was four so he is not a finished horse and I would not sell him to a beginner. He is a wonderful hack. He ships, clips, is good for farrier etc. He's very easy going in the barn and under saddle. He's very well started and if someone wanted to put english tack on him and jump he''d be fine. He must go to a good, permanent home or I'll keep him forever. He really is too nice a horse to sit in my field and I have too many other horses. He does have very flat front feet and needs shoes. He is just recovering from an absess but the farrier should be able to get a shoe on him this week and he should be okay to ride in a week or so. Asking $3,500 Canadian. 20% will go to Heaven Can Wait Equine Rescue.

BUFORD ~ Registered Name: EAI Justice. Sire: The Atticus (The Minstril). Dam: Ansata Julnara. Date of Birth: May 19, 1995. Height: 14.2hh. Vices: None. Soundness: 100% Buford would make an outstanding endurance horse. He has fabulous feet and legs and moves flat and long. He loves to be with people. He will hack out alone with no fussing. He is very much an Arab, hot and forward but safe. He has only had about six months of training in total but he was broke two years ago. After a year off he was no problem to ride. He has been professionally started. He's very soft and round. He will not make a show horse unless it is dressage or something solitary as he does not go well with other horses. He is well mannered but will pin his ears and it wouldn't work in the Arab show ring. He is dark bay and very pretty. He needs an understanding home as he tends to be very sensitive and really loves attention. He will never be a beginners horse he is much too forward. Again he is being sold because I have no time to ride him. He is a good quality Arab, he was one of Edwards Arabians herd sires and has about twenty foals on the ground (he was gelded at four when we bought him). This is the kind of horse that someone who wants a really special horse to bond with would love since he has such an amazing rapport with people. Asking $2000 Canadian. 20% will go to Heaven Can Wait Equine Rescue.
Please be sure to mention to Cheryl that you saw Spike & Buford advertised for sale on the HCW Equine Rescue web page.

For Sale:
REGAL MELODY ~ 1998 grey arabian filly currently standing 14.2h.Leads, trots out nicely on the line, clips, bathes, ties, trailers excellent, very friendly, can be handled all over and good for vet and farrier. Free lunges in round pen, long reins with surcingle and bridle and has been lightly backed. Shown twice in Jr. Halter and placed 5th and 3rd consecutively. Bloodlines include Morafic and Soufian. Very pretty mover, great potential for just about anything, but especially anything requiring speed and agility as she can stop and turn on a dime, but is also very quiet and well mannered to work with. Selling due to lack of time to continue with her training. Up to date on her hoof trimming, deworming, and vaccinations (rabies, tetanus, EVR and flu). She also has her registration papers coming from the CAHR (Canadian Arabian Horse Registry). There was a delay by the breeder in sending in the necessary forms, but the registry has confirmed about a week and a half ago that the application was received, so the papers are definitely on their way, they are just being processed. Most of her pedigree is available if anyone is interested, 3 generations on the sire's side, and 4 on the dam's. When the registration is complete I intend to ask the registry for a full 5 generation pedigree because she's supposed to have some really good egyptian bloodlines that I would like to be able to make any potential purchasers aware of. The name of her sire is TS Ibn Amir, who goes back to Soufian (3rd generation), and the dam is Regal Silhouette, who goes back twice to Morafic (5th generation I think, 4th generation has Kamal Ibn Morafic and Hamid Ibn Morafic- meaning sons of Morafic).
If Melody is sold through the HCW Equine Rescue Web Page or Message Board, the owner will donate a portion of the sale price to HCW. So please be sure to mention where you saw Melody listed for sale.
